Christmas Party & Installation Luncheon
December
12th was the date of our annual banquet this year. Once again
this was a Sunday mid-day affair with guests arriving at 12 noon.
There was ample time to socialize and visit with other members and
families who were present. There were 84 meals served to an
enthusiastic group of Model T'ers, and everyone finished up with a
delicious lemon cake served for dessert.
This also was a driving event, and we had the grass
circle drive filled with Model T's. Simultaneously occurring
with our arrival was an outdoor wedding at the Country Club. Our
cars offered a unexpected photo opportunity for the Bride and Groom,
I'm sure they knew nothing about our club event on the same day as
their wedding. As we all know, everyone seems to be attracted to
our Model T's. I would like to thank the Lakewood Country Club
for once again being very accommodating and allowing us to park on
their lawn as soon as the wedding ceremony was completed.
At the conclusion of the meal we started the
official program with the introduction of the recipient of the Louis
Baglietto Award for 2004. The very deserving member to be
honored this year was Joe Brun. Congratulations Joe, you have
served the club and it's members well again this past year.
Following the acknowledgement, we presented gifts to all the children
in attendance. A Chinese raffle for adults was enjoyed by all,
and there were some very nice gifts again this year. Both the
outgoing and incoming board members were recognized, and the Model
T'ers band provided live entertainment. We had a surprise song
sung by Mike Spaziano and his daughter Ashlyn that was a big hit.
This was again a very enjoyable event, thanks to
all of you that participated. We hope to see even more of you at
this event next year.
