What a fantastic show of cars and support for the Model T Ford
Club of Southern California’s First Pancake Breakfast and Ice Cream
Social. The rain stayed away as members from the Model T Ford Club of
Southern California, the Long Beach Model T Club, the Orange County
Model T Ford Club, the Southbay Model T Ford Club, and the Orange
County Model A Ford Club arrived in 39 Model Ts and As at the Tin Shed
in Whittier. “Loco” Larry and his crew were prepared with the griddle
hot and ready to serve 98 people (well over 100 with the kids),
pancakes, eggs, sausage, juice and coffee. It was delicious! The group
then drove through Historic Whittier and Turnbull Canyon to the Hurst
Ranch in the city of West Covina. What a great collection of antique
farming tools and displays of “old time cars”, showcasing the farmers
life. The tour ended on a sweet note with a bowl or two or three (you
know who you are) of homemade ice cream with all the toppings!! See
