New Year 2005!
December was an eventful month for the Long Beach Model T Club.
December 5th was the Gunther’s Yard meet followed by our
annual Christmas Light Tour on December 11th which was hosted
by George and Betty Gunther. On December 12th we celebrated
our 2005 Board Installation and Christmas Luncheon at the Lakewood
Country Club. There were 85 people in attendance. We all
enjoyed the wonderful luncheon, raffle drawing and listening to the
Model T’ers play an array of Christmas and old time tunes. This
year little 4 year old Ashlyn Spaziano graciously sang two Christmas
songs and her Father, Mike accompanied her during one on the songs which
was delightful.
This year we have several new LBMTC Board members that I would like to
welcome and recognize. Vice President – Jeff Hood, Historian – Jim
Davis, Editor – Ed Williams, Tour Chair – Will Campbell, Refreshment
Chair – Gene Carrothers, Members at Large – Dean Grose and Gary Guacci.
Thank you for all those who have decided to be on the 2005 LBMTC Board.
We are looking forward to a great year!
Our monthly breakfast will once again resume, but I thought it might be
a good idea to have it on a Saturday rather than on a Friday. We
will give it a try and see how it goes.
Be sure to look at the Cranking Calendar for more details on the
upcoming breakfast.
January 16th will be our first tour in 2005. Tom Leroux
will be hosting the annual Vehicle Safety Inspection tour at his shop.
Let’s have a safe year and make sure our T’s are in proper working
order. Safety comes 1st! Please be sure to call
the Club phone to R.S.V.P for this event.
We are always looking for new ideas, so please let us know and we will
do our best to make it happen.
