Presidents Message
Hi Folks,
First, I want to
thank Gene Carrothers for taking over the refreshment duty for me at
last month’s meeting. I had a previous commitment that demanded I leave
the meeting as soon as possible. I was sorry to have missed the program
and from what I’ve heard it was very interesting.
The club is currently
exploring the idea of another tour of Death Valley. About a dozen
members signed up showing interest but for those who were not at the
meeting send Andria, our tour director, a note. We are talking
October/November this year. Contact her ASAP so we can try to book a
group of rooms before they are sold out. The tour will not be limited
to Model T’s.
The club is attempting to
build a test stand for T’s. We are looking for a useable radiator,
’17-’25 firewall and coil box and battery box. If you are willing to
donate or sell an item cheap contact Steve or Bob Schwinck. Your help
is most appreciated.
If you see me on crutches
and wonder what is going on here’s the answer. I have a torn achilles
tendon in my left ankle area and hopefully it will heal in time. The
boot is too prevent further damage.
Lastly I would like to
re-invite all interested to come to the board meetings. We meet at
Marie Calenders the first Wednesday of the month at 7pm. We need to get
potential new board members familiar with our meeting process as well as
soliciting new ideas to maintain the club vitality. Come and see what
you’re missing and have dinner or desert with us.
